Porthole Players - Celebrating over 40 Years of Theater!

Porthole Players is a non-profit community theater group, established in Newport, Oregon in 1972. We are committed to increasing the social capital of our community through our love of theater: developing the skills, spirit, and artistic sensibilities of all those who participate, on stage, behind it, or in the audience. (Oh, and we also put on great shows, too - musicals, dramas, comedies, and more!). We are sponsored in part by the Oregon Coast Council for the Arts, many wonderful volunteers and members.

You Are Welcome!

Porthole Players welcomes new actors, singers, dancers and musicians so don't be shy about contacting us or just showing up to the next audition. More of a behind the scenes person? Opportunities abound for people interested in costumes, lighting, set construction, props, staging, graphic design, publicity and more!

Don't be daunted by the title, membership with Porthole Players is more like joining a family. Members benefit by supporting community theater, are listed in all of our production programs, and are covered by insurance when working on a production.
